A Year of Travel – 2018

What a year it has been…

It started in January with a free trip to Wales (Caernarfon) to stay in the amazing house called Snowdon Summit View.

The highlights: riding a tractor and all the mod cons in the house.

The lowlights: the hot tub not working due to a broken lid.

Next on the list was Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest for my 30th birthday. A week of relaxing, drinking and constant giggling.

The highlights: constant freebies by the CP staff and the wild water rapids.

The lowlights: getting ill on the last few days and nearly getting stuck on the ariel adventure.

Fuerteventura was a lovely short break. A bit of sun, sea and sand. The all inclusive holiday was a perfect way to unwind.

The highlights: the sand dunes and heat.

The lowlights: not enough time and the food.

Later in the year I went on a cheeky trip to Berlin. Three days in this amazing city full of history and beer.

The highlights: the Liquidrom Spa and Kebab Baba (the best kebabs in Berlin).

The lowlights: the hangovers and our flight got cancelled.

The best holiday of the year was South Africa. We spent a few days in Cape Town and then travelled onto Safari in Kruger National Park. A trip of a life time.

The highlights: everything.

The lowlights: NOTHING.

Serbia was last on the list. A few days away in Belgrade. An experience I will never forget.

The highlights: the penthouse suite equipped with disco ball and the food.

The lowlights: it was cold brrrr!

It’s been a great year of travel and here’s to 2019 and to more adventures…
